Idiot.

The police were faced with vandals, thugs and hooligans. They attacked an 80 year old man, with something caustic. They attempted to torch a police car...with the police inside. They attacked a bus full of Cub Scouts.

These thugs are still breathing. The response was proportioned in your favor.
